A white-collar worker named Gotou Shizuka is attacked by a slasher in a busy shopping area. On the verge of death, she hears a voice stating she has been defeated and a termination countdown begins. Through guidance from the "Night Guide," she survives and gains a unique ability. At the same time, the world becomes linked to another, and monsters start appearing. Gotou decides to fight these creatures. Using her optimistic and bold personality, she engages in battle, earning experience and crafting weapons.
