Hajime is now a struggling office worker, no longer the student detective he once was. He avoids getting involved in mysteries and focuses on surviving his adult life. However, he is soon drawn into new cases despite his efforts to stay out of trouble. The first story takes place on Uta Island, revisiting the Opera House Murder Case for its fourth installment, where a vengeful Phantom of the Opera is responsible for a series of murders.
