Kiniro Japanesque: Yokohama Karentan

In Meiji-era Japan, sixteen-year-old Maria feels out of place due to her appearance, which causes fear and shame among those around her, including her mother. After meeting Rintarou, a charming and playful boy, Maria begins to see beauty and her own identity in a new light. He admires her greatly, comparing her to a character from a fairy tale. Their relationship develops against the backdrop of Yokohama, where a historical romance begins to take shape.
