In modern-day Japan, a fox and a raccoon live among humans to protect their mountain. They take human forms and reside in a village: Yugao, the fox, and Shitara, the raccoon. While Shitara views the situation as a disaster, Yugao sees it as an opportunity. He intends to make the most of this rare chance to express his long-held feelings for Shitara.
