Yukinori assumes the role of acting president at his father's welding factory in Kyushu after his sudden hospitalization. Unfamiliar with the business, he is instructed to depend on Maki, the factory manager, who is respected for his commitment and passion for his work, despite his reserved and abrasive nature. Maki, who is well-regarded by the staff, discovers Yukinori is gay and reacts with a harsh comment, pushing him down.
