Koushounin wa Damaranai

Mebuki Akira works as a negotiator, helping individuals resolve minor conflicts such as disputes with loan sharks or difficult neighbors. His former junior, Hyoudou Juetsu, now a yakuza member from an organization that controls Mebuki's area, unexpectedly offers to provide protection for his office. Hyoudou is openly gay and has feelings for Mebuki, though he struggles to express them. Mebuki resents yakuza and is particularly angry with Hyoudou for an assault that occurred in high school. Hyoudou's offer for protection is motivated by a desire to shield Mebuki from Uzawa, a member of a rival yakuza group and a former classmate from high school.
