Kouyasai

As a storyteller, my duty is to travel across the eighteen islands, collecting scattered stories. Every winter solstice, we gather at the island master's residence to exchange tales throughout the night, a tradition called Koyasai, a yearly festival for storytellers. I will now recount a hidden and ominous story, one involving a terrifying monster. This year, the Koyasai will take place near the abandoned island master's keep, a festival shared only between the two of us.
