Kyudoshi

A high school freshman named Shindou Satoru joins his school's archery club, which consists of only one other member, Kaname Yumiko. After handling a bow for the first time, he is transported to a strange world where he is attacked by spirit archers. Yumiko appears to defend him but is ultimately defeated. On the verge of being captured, Satoru is rescued by a spirit named Hannya. Upon returning, he is informed of the Kyudoshi's duty to fight these spirits. Yumiko reveals that Satoru's missing sister, Miyuki, was also a Kyudoshi who disappeared during a battle with a spirit similar to Hannya. Satoru resolves to embrace his role and continue the fight, hoping to locate his sister.
