A vast, uncharted cave system called the Abyss remains hidden in a world otherwise fully explored. Individuals who venture into its treacherous depths are called Cave Raiders. Riko, an orphan, aspires to become one like her mother. During an expedition into the Abyss, she encounters a mysterious robot, bringing her closer to realizing her ambition.
