A sixteen-year-old girl named Emma arrives in the capital city of Hawk Eye after being held captive her whole life. Upon her arrival, all the men in the city, including the king, become infatuated with her. She is nearly forced into marriage but is rescued by a sorcerer named Shion, known as one of the country's youngest and most skilled. Though they have met before, Emma has no memory of it. Shion reveals she is cursed with Echidna, a rare magic occurring every 500 years that gives a girl immense dark power capable of destroying the world. This power makes her a target, as others seek to claim her heart. A ritual exists to remove the curse, but it demands a difficult journey. The first step requires Emma and Shion to marry. A one-shot titled Volume 8: Karakuri Link is included.
