Ein, a self-taught mage, raises and trains Shannon, an orphan girl, to become a capable mage as part of the condition for continuing his research. Despite his success, Ein is dismissed by his new superior at the Ministry of Magic due to his lack of formal academic credentials. Struggling to support Shannon, Ein gradually gains inspiration while living and working with her, leading him to complete a groundbreaking magical study. The Ministry, recognizing the significance of his work, seeks to claim the rights to his new form of magic.
