Manimani

A collection of short stories by Unita Yumi. One follows a woman in her mid-twenties returning to her rural hometown after being fired. Another centers on a junior high student with a boyfriend who is a tutor and a best friend who is a delinquent, who frequently skips school yet completes her assignments. A third piece is a mother reflecting on her past, relationships, and life experiences. Another story features a 32-year-old teacher living a solitary life similar to her childhood, who begins to reflect after her cousin announces her engagement. One story continues the narrative from the mother's tale. The final entry is titled "Manimani."
