Maou to Yuusha no Tatakai no Ura de

A man from the modern era is reborn into a fantasy world he recognizes from a game, taking the identity of Werner, a noble’s son. He is not the hero or the antagonist, but a minor character expected to die in a major battle. Seeking the hero’s company, Werner lacks the abilities to become a hero himself. To avoid his fate, he uses his noble status and knowledge of the game to support the hero and protect against threats. He discovers that by doing this, he can save others who were also destined to perish, altering the course of events he believed were fixed. As a trusted companion with knowledge of what is to come, Werner may yet become a key figure in saving the world.
