A light novel adaptation began serialization in Hobby Japan's Charano! magazine on January 30, 2008, prior to the first anime episode's release. The novel was written by Hiroshi Ōnogi, who also served as the anime's scriptwriter, with illustrations provided by Chūū Higashiguchi.
