Deanna and Luke were in a romantic relationship that ended when Deanna's father was killed. Luke left the scene and was later arrested as the main suspect. During the trial, Deanna testified, leading to his conviction, though she had no memory of the events of the murder night. Luke refuses to believe her and holds her in contempt. Eight years later, Deanna still experiences nightmares related to the incident. To stop the nightmares, she decides to return to her hometown in an attempt to recover her lost memories.
