A high-achieving student named Maruka Suzuki believes that adults are actually monsters and is intentionally placing herself in danger to be captured. Instead of being taken, she is rescued by a creature she calls a "Groan-Up," a rabbit-like being named Mochizuki. Rather than seeing Mochizuki as a threat, Maruka views the creature as a potential romantic partner. The two, one human and one monster, form a bond that blurs the lines between wielder and weapon, partner and partner. Their relationship raises questions about how far they will go together and what other secrets remain to be uncovered.
