Narcissu

A man in his early twenties is diagnosed with lung cancer and enters hospice care in Mito, Ibaraki. While there, he meets Setsumi, a slightly older woman also facing a terminal illness. Both reject the idea of dying in a hospital or at home, so they escape together in a silver Honda Integra left by the man’s father. They drive across Japan, initially without a clear destination, but eventually choose southern Awaji Island, drawn by its narcissus fields.
