Natsu to Mushikago

After a girl next door moves away, Keiki vows to become a basketball champion so they can meet at the nationals. He begins training but soon quits after a crushing defeat by a skilled player. As time passes and his injuries heal, Keiki is drawn back to basketball when a new, unexpected person enters his life.
