Seeing Maki Saihara's name on the class list causes a strong reaction. Maki was once a close childhood friend, but the two have not spoken in over a year. Despite sitting next to each other in class, a sense of distance remains. One day, Maki unexpectedly visits the narrator's home and asks to show something. A cat-like feature suddenly appears on her head. Maki's behavior becomes increasingly feline, and the emotional gap between them quickly fades. She now acts affectionately, displaying cat-like behavior by lying down and rubbing against the narrator. The two spend time together in a relaxed and intimate setting.
