A group consisting of Froakie and Riolu begin their first assignment at the Expedition Society in Lively Town, located on the Water Continent. They are tasked with exploring the newly discovered CoroCoro Pass dungeon by Ampharos, who cautions them about a powerful Pokémon rumored to reside deep within. Archen is added to the team to provide support. As they descend into the dungeon, Riolu remembers Ampharos’s warning, and they are ambushed by a Garchomp, which descends from above and identifies them as intruders.
