A child experiences a change after a head injury, gaining the ability to visually perceive others' emotions, each represented by specific colors. Pink indicates love, red represents anger, green is embarrassment, blue is sadness, and yellow signifies lust. During a summer break on Green Plum Island, the child meets Yan Kongshan, a man nine years older who is admired by many on the island. The child is drawn to him and hopes to see pink above his head, but instead, yellow appears. Despite this, Yan Kongshan's expression remains unchanged.
