Abigail Dilloa is forced into servitude after her home collapses, tasked with caring for a princess confined in a tower. After accepting her new life, the princess is brutally killed by assassins. As Abigail faces a similar fate, she is rescued by Duke Lakiel de Edelgard, who demands she either die or impersonate the dead princess in a plot to claim the throne.
