Kazushi Kimijima and Tatsumi Higaki meet while traveling alone in a coastal town and end up staying at the same inn. Kazushi, who is easygoing, asks Tatsumi, who is more reserved, to join him for a drink as a thank you for helping him with a sand-in-eye problem earlier. Over time, Kazushi learns more about the reasons behind Tatsumi's quiet and anxious nature. The story explores how Kazushi responds when Tatsumi finally reveals a personal secret and the intense fear connected to it.
