In the year 1294 of the Arboral calendar, nine towering structures called Spires dominate the world, remnants of an ancient civilization containing hidden knowledge and power. Nations compete for control of these sites. Luca serves as a bugler in a mercenary group, hoping to escape the battlefield and pursue a life as a musician. However, as one of the mysterious Branch-hexed, he possesses the unusual ability to see the sound of his instrument. This rare trait pulls him into a large-scale conflict despite his reluctance.
