In November 1944, Lieutenant Colonel Minoru Genda formed an elite unit by assembling skilled pilots for homeland defense, a group that later became known as the 343rd Naval Air Group, or the "Sword Squadron." Focusing on Naoshi Kanou, a pilot known as the "Ace Killer," the story portrays the remarkable actions of these young and daring aviators.
