Shin Kooritsuita Me

A journalist named Atsuko Shiina wrote a book in 1994 about child abuse titled *Oya ni Naruhodo Muzukashii Koto wa Nai*. Inspired by this work, Sasaya created a manga adaptation called *Kooritsuita Me*, which was published in the magazine *You* in 1996. The manga is recognized for contributing to the introduction of new child abuse laws in Japan on May 24, 2000, and it was awarded the Avon Educational Award in 2004.
