Shitsuren Chocolatier

A student at a confectionery school, Souta, is in a relationship with Saeko, a girl a year his senior. He fell for her four years ago and shared his first kiss with her the Christmas before last. Saeko's fondness for chocolate inspires Souta to refine his chocolate-making abilities daily. Despite Saeko's occasional odd behavior, such as smelling of cigarettes despite not smoking or declining his Valentine's Day date invitations, Souta remains devoted and unaffected by heartbreak. The work received the 2012 Kodansha Manga Award in the Shoujo category and was a nominee for the 4th Manga Taisho Awards in 2011.
