Shitsuren Chocolatier

Souta is a student at a confectionery school and is in a relationship with Saeko, a girl a year older than him. He fell in love with her four years ago and shared his first kiss with her the Christmas before last. Inspired by Saeko's love for chocolate, Souta diligently refines his chocolate-making skills every day. Although Saeko sometimes behaves strangely, such as smelling of cigarettes even though she doesn't smoke, or turning down his Valentine's Day date invitations, Souta remains devoted and unaffected by heartbreak. The work won the 2012 Kodansha Manga Award in the Shoujo category and was also nominated for the 4th Manga Taisho Awards in 2011.
