Youta Kagami was a former magic researcher who left his studies at fifteen to pursue a normal life with his fiancée, Sophia, the fourth princess of the Kingdom of Finland. They had planned to attend a magic academy together and experience youth away from their research-oriented upbringing. On the day of the entrance ceremony, Youta learned that Sophia had died in a maritime accident. After an unclear period, he finds himself in their intended shared home, where he sees what appears to be Sophia. Confused and disoriented, he questions whether she is real or a hallucination, as he had believed her to be dead.
