Stalemate

Two cousins, Shinichi and his uncle Chiharu, share a close bond, spending much of their time together playing games, especially chess, from Shinichi's childhood through high school. Their relationship is meaningful, but over time, they struggle to express their true feelings or desires, leading to a growing emotional distance. As their connection weakens, a final chess match becomes a turning point, revealing what each has truly wanted all along. Another part of the story involves the two cousins holding hands, and a separate scene shows someone getting close to a cat.
