In the seventh installment of the series, Haruhi Suzumiya, the assertive leader of the SOS Brigade, is unusually at peace. The group experiences a rare period of calm as Haruhi shows no interest in her usual high-stakes adventures. Meanwhile, Kyon, the group’s most grounded member, senses an anomaly in the universe. Concerned, he enlists the help of Mikuru, his close friend and secret crush, and the reserved Nagato to travel back in time. Their mission is to correct the disturbance and preserve the future. The story includes a prologue and epilogue.
