Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu

Kyon is a high school freshman who no longer expects to experience anything unusual. His perspective changes when he meets Haruhi Suzumiya, a classmate who is both striking and unpredictable, with a strong interest in aliens, time travelers, and psychics. After a brief exchange, Haruhi establishes the SOS Brigade, a school club aimed at bringing such beings together. The group includes Yuki Nagato, a quiet and bookish girl; Mikuru Asahina, a shy and gentle student; and Itsuki Koizumi, a cheerful and composed boy. By the end of the first volume, Kyon learns that these individuals are not ordinary students. They belong to hidden groups—both from the future and other planets—monitoring Haruhi, who is linked to a potential large-scale disaster.
