A declining birth rate leads to the transformation of pets into humanoid beings. Ao, a girl who dislikes people, finds her pit bull Taika standing over her father’s injured body, leaving her uncertain about what happened. To cope, she accepts when her mother has Taika humanized. Ao starts taking the new dogman to school, where he meets a German shepherd who is a police dogman. The two begin adopting human behaviors and customs. They become involved in a mystery when they notice blood traces in Ao’s locker and decide to investigate their origin.
