Hagiwara Taku and Maki Teruya are beginning their journey into the working world after 21 years of not having to think about it. Taku, who assumed things would go smoothly with his longtime high school girlfriend, Akane, finds that she has grown frustrated with his lack of direction and tendency to rely on fate. Maki, once an artist in the entertainment industry, is now trying to transition into finance after her career in showbiz declined. She is constantly hounded by her agency and tries to stay out of the public eye. Taku and Maki reconnected after meeting during Maki's film career and are now collaborating to navigate the challenges of job hunting.
