On a rooftop, a student intended to confess his feelings to Tokiwa Nagisa, a kouhai who had previously expressed her affection for him. Instead, he became involved in a game called the “Confession Quartet,” which revolves around love and romance. The game promises "Eternal Love" through magic if a participant falls in love, but if the relationship does not last, it erases the experience as if it never happened. One person expresses a desire to experience love without the assurance of it being eternal, while another prefers to forget the feelings entirely if eternal love is unattainable. Confronted with these ultimate choices, the protagonist begins to resist the game's influence.
