Tsubame wa Modottekonai

A 29-year-old woman named Riki leaves her caregiving position in Hokkaido and relocates to Tokyo for a hospital job. The demanding and unpredictable work leads to financial difficulties. After learning about a well-paid opportunity from her coworker Teru, she applies at the Japanese branch of Arte, a specialized U.S. clinic focused on assisted reproductive technology, to become a surrogate.
