Mao, who is fixated on her former boyfriend, is held back and must retake her second year of high school. In her new class is Hachiya, an irritating member of the soccer club. Initially viewing him as conceited, Mao is surprised when he suddenly confesses his feelings for her. She is now faced with the challenge of dealing with a romantic interest who is a year younger and a classmate.
