Maki, a rough and unrefined man, is regularly taken out by Sugimoto Shinji, his childhood friend who is now a refined and successful businessman. Each month, Shinji invites Maki to upscale locations, which make Maki uneasy, though he attends regardless. It is clear to Maki that Shinji has long been infatuated with him. While Maki identifies as straight, he has recently grown irritated by Shinji’s frequent mentions of his own boyfriends.
