Twenty Lillies

A girl named Shiro, who has a weak heart and has been bedridden since childhood, is visited regularly by a neighbor named Kuro. As Shiro's condition worsens and a heart transplant becomes necessary, Kuro donates her heart to Shiro, receiving a mechanical one in return. The narrative follows their adjustment to their new circumstances and the evolving emotions between them. In another story, a researcher in parthenogenesis genetics and a star athlete form a family through unconventional means, exploring the development of their child and life together. A third tale involves a young girl with severe identity disorder who lives with her doctor after being abandoned by her parents. Their unusual but peaceful coexistence is disrupted by an unknown event. Additional one-shots include "Perfect Communication," "I Wish You," and "Yuru Daizai."
