Soon-Doong moves to South Korea from Yanbian after a fire claims her family, seeking a fresh start. With only a plane ticket, a few belongings, and a partially burned letter referencing her grandfather’s friendship with a textile factory owner in Seoul, she aims to find work at the factory. She discovers the factory owner is now the CEO of the nation’s largest clothing brand, and her grandfather had once saved him and provided financial support for his business. As she begins her new life in Korea, Soon-Doong challenges prejudices against ethnic Koreans from Yanbian and prompts others to reconsider their values and ways of living.
