Yuurei Ressha to Konpeitou: Memory of Ligaya

A summer marked by sorrow and a tale of sweet death and rebirth remains unforgettable. A deserted station platform, sugar plums, a sunflower field, and an abandoned train car are linked to a mysterious girl named Ligaya. Misachi Ariga, a middle school student with irregular periods and a taste disorder, had planned to take her life on a decommissioned local train line, making her life-insurance scheme impossible. Confused about her next steps, she encounters Ligaya, an older girl whose name means “Happiness” in Tagalog. Ligaya declares her intent to restore the abandoned train as the Ghost Train and offer “Death” to Misachi. Their summer together begins.
