EP 1Ryouta Sakamoto, un jugador desempleado, despierta en una isla obligado a jugar la versión en la vida real de Btooom!
4 oct 2012A new MMO game was released called Btooom! which sold almost 3 million copies worldwide. Ryouta Sakamoto, is an unemployed 22 year old who has risen as the top ranked player of Btooom! in Japan, and his team, Team Sakamoto ranked as 10th in the world. In the present, Ryouta awakens trapped in a parachute harness in what seems to be a tropical island and has no memory of how he got there. He is only equipped with his bag containing a few necessities, a pouch full of bomb like weapons called BIMs and a strange bead embedded on his left hand. Later he sees another person, Yoshiaki Imagawa, running towards him on the beach, but when Sakamoto hails him, Imagawa attacks him with bombs. In a flashback Ryouta has a dispute with his mother who wants him to get a job rather than stay at home playing video games, but he harshly states that he is pursuing a job at the company who created Btooom! . Later when he visits a convenience store to revoke a job application his mother turned in for him, he is met by two men at which point his memory dissolves. Back in the present Ryouta tries to reason with his assailant but to no avail, which forces him to run, realizing that he is forced to play Btooom! for real. However his morality argues that he cannot just kill another person, but this quickly dissolves when he is forced to fight back after the man corners him. Ryouta then sets a trap by leaving a timer-BIM on a cliff and jumping into the ocean, which kills his unawares assailant. In the epilogue Ryouta has a dream where he had yet another fight with his mother about job hunting. He then stumbles through the jungle, meeting a river where a girl is seen refreshing herself. EP 2El pasado traumático de Himiko y su supervivencia en la isla con Ryouta
11 oct 2012In a flashback a girl called Himiko explains to her friend Miho that she was invited to play Btooom! with Team Sakamoto. Back in the present Himiko discovers that she had been parachuted onto the island with limited rations and a pouch full of bombs as well as her stun gun. In another flashback, Himiko and her friends discuss a strange chain letter that had been making the rounds on the internet that claims to reward anyone with 100,000 yen in exchange for allowing the "disappearance" of a named person of the email receiver's choosing. Back on the island Himiko awakens to find herself amid three men, Mitsuo Akechi, Isamu Kondō and Masashi Miyamoto. They decide to team up but when Isamu gets into constant disputes with Masashi, Masashi slits his throat; killing him. Mitsuo and Himiko then run away while Masashi is asleep but he quickly catches up to them only to retreat when Mitsuo uses his bombs. In another flashback, Himiko and her friends, Yuki, Arisa and Miho are invited by an upperclassman, Yoshioka to an apartment. When Himiko shows up late she discovers her friends were drugged and raped by Yoshioka and his band. They attempt to rape Himiko however she escapes and alerts the authorities. Afterwards, her best friend, Miho ends their friendship and blames her for the crime. In the present, Mitsuo becomes delusional and Himiko stuns him and runs away but he finds and sexually assaults her. However, Himiko activates one of her timer-BIMs, deciding to kill them both but when Mitsuo runs she throws the bomb after him which explodes and kills him. Himiko then deems that everyone on the island is her enemy, especially the men. At this point, when Himiko is refreshing herself at the river, she is discovered by Ryouta. (Source: Wikipedia)

18 oct 2012Ryouta discovers that Himiko possesses a case full of food and before he can inquire about it she runs away. He gives chase but loses her in the bushes. Ryouta then uses his sonar to try and locate her but instead, it leads him to a man defecating in the bushes. The man introduces himself as Kiyoshi Taira, after Ryouta threatens him to reveal what he knows. Kiyoshi explains that he was also approached by two men after which he woke up on a cargo plane with 30 or so other people. There, they were told by a cheery-looking man that they will participate in a death game on a remote island in the Pacific and the only way off is to collect 8 chips from other participants after they are killed. The people grow furious upon learning of this but masked men armed with tazers subdue them. Kiyoshi also explains that Ryouta was the most outspoken of the group and seemed to know the man in charge. However he was then tazered in the head which explains his lost memories. At this point the plane reaches the island and everyone was forced into parachutes and thrown out. Ryouta realizes that the group who created Btooom!,Tyrannos Japan was probably most likely responsible. Kiyoshi and Ryouta decide to team up to improve their odds. Soon they notice another plane dropping food supplies onto the island and Ryouta races after one. However a woman reaches it first but is killed by a trap set by another player who takes everything and leaves. Ryouta and Kiyoshi then contemplate on whether they should pursue another parachute but eventually decide to since they would not be able to defend themselves if their strength is low. Upon reaching the parachute they discover a small boy covered in blood who appears to have killed another player after the food supply. (Source: Wikipedia)
EP 4Souichi y Kousuke se encuentran con paracaidistas mientras Kousuke mata a su padre y pelea con Ryouta.
25 oct 2012In a flashback, the police arrive at a crime scene where they arrest 14-year old Kōsuke Kira, a sadistic necrophilliac who had murdered three women. Back in the present, Souichi Natsume discovers Kousuke near the shore, skewering frogs for fun. Souichi tries to explain the difference between killing living things because it is wrong and killing out of amusement however Kousuke rejects the explanation. At the same time they witness parachute drops and go to investigate together with Kousuke's father, Yoshihisa Kira. Another flashback reveals that Kousuke was horribly absused by his father as a boy and hence has no qualms about hurting others. Back in the present, Yoshihisa forces Kousuke use his bombs to retrieve the supply case from a tree which he does. Yoshihisa then takes the case for himself but after Souichi says they should share the contents, Yoshihisa refuses saying that in the jungle it is survival of the fittest. Kousuke then activates one of his bombs and kills Yoshihisa whilst feeling a rush of euphoria. Frightened, Souichi runs away saying Kousuke is akin to a monster. At this point, he is discovered by Ryouta and Kiyoshi, who try to reason with him but to no avail, hence they retreat. Kousuke, goes after them with intent to kill and Ryouta decides to fight in order to protect Kiyoshi. However he cannot bring himself to kill another person. They soon recognize each other as Btooom! players and engage. Ryouta is soon pushed back but hits his head against a rock which causes a personality shift where he perceives reality as being the game world and is able to defeat Kousuke by hiding his movements with advanced sonar cancelling. Ryouta then comes to his senses after he realizes the devastation he caused and cannot bring himself to kill the unconscious Kousuke, instead binding him to a tree and taking the supplies and his BIMs. Kousuke demands to know Ryouta's name and is thrilled to learn Ryouta is actually the top ranked Japanese player of Btooom!. 1 nov 2012Ryouta returns to Kiyoshi with the case of food supplies. In a flashback, Ryouta's mother tried to commit suicide after regretting causing him to "disappear." While Ryouta and Kiyoshi are eating, near the river a corpse washes downstream, which turns out to be a pants-less Mitsuo, leaving Ryouta and Kiyoshi to wonder what happened. Ryouta, suspecting that an enemy may be lurking upstream goes to investigate and discovers Himiko waiting atop a cliff. She then attacks him with a corrosive-BIM, drawing him out into the open. Ryouta tries to reason with her, and it seems to work but when he tries to approach her she attacks him. Realizing she was trying to kill him, Ryouta rushes towards her but she attacks him with her stun gun. Not wanting a repeat of what happened on the cargo plane, Ryouta defends himself causing Himiko to stun herself. While unconscious, Ryouta takes her BIMs and as has a morality moment about stripping her. However he shakes that feeling when he pieces together that she was assaulted by Mitsuo. When Himiko regains consciousness she finds herself being carried back to camp by Ryouta, and mistakenly thinks she would be violated again, activates a hidden timer-BIM in her pocket but Ryouta deactivates it. Back at the camp she explains to Ryouta and Kiyoshi that everyone on the island had been picked by someone they knew to "disappear." Although Kiyoshi offers Himiko to team up with them, she says that there is nothing left for them if they go back. Ryouta realizes that his own family had chosen him for defying them. 8 nov 2012While the komodo dragons attack Ryouta, Kiyoshi and Himiko, Himiko passes out. Kiyoshi takes her to the other side of the river while Ryouta tries to fight back only to realize that BIMS cannot be claimed until their owner is dead. But just as Ryouta activates one of his cracker-BIMs a lizard bites Kiyoshi's leg. Soon they escape by following the river's path while still being stalked by the lizards. Kiyoshi laments that being on the island is his punishment for being a monster at his job. A lizard then jumps into the river causing them to get separated. Ryouta tries to find Kiyoshi using his radar but to no avail, concluding that Kiyoshi had abandoned them. Just then, as a lizard is about to attack Ryouta and Himiko, Kiyoshi returns and kills it with a homing-BIM. Ryouta realizes that they were both searching for each other but their sonars cancelled each other out, causing Ryouta to break down because he had doubted Kiyoshi's loyalty. They then make their way to an abandoned building near the sea but are once again followed by the lizards. Kiyoshi decides to hold them off with his homing-BIMS but they are not powerful enough. This prompts Ryouta to use one of Himiko's corrosive-BIMS (by using her finger to activate the switch) and drive the lizards away. Himiko later regains consciousness and is still suspicious of Ryouta and Kiyoshi after her previous traumatic experiences with men. Back in the mainland, it is revealed that Tyrannos Japan is monitoring the events on the island, with a special interest in Ryouta. Kiyoshi's leg also becomes infected due to the lizard bite. Afterwards Ryouta becomes suspicious of Himiko because of all the supplies and BIMS she possesses and concludes that she had murdered other participants and that she could turn on him and Kiyoshi at any moment. Just then they are discovered by another player's sonar and again, Ryouta decides to be a decoy to draw away the assailant from Kiyoshi and Himiko. In the epilogue Ryouta is attacked by Masashi. EP 7Ryouta confronta a Masashi y Souichi mientras investiga la verdadera identidad de Himiko.
15 nov 2012A flashback shows when "Sakamoto" and the player using the name "Himiko" got married in the Btooom! world. "Sakamoto" asks to meet "Himiko" in the real world but she turns him down. Back in the present, Ryouta is attacked by Souichi and Masashi who are revealed to be working together. They overpower him and confiscate his BIMS however Masashi lets him escape so that he can track him back to Himiko and Kiyoshi which he does. Kiyoshi tries do defend Himiko but Masashi badly wounds him. Ryouta tries to reason with Masashi saying that the entire senario was set up by Tyrannos Japan to iron out bugs in the Btooom! game and that there may be a loophole allowing everyone to survive, but Masashi rejects it, instead reveling in the death game. At this point he attacks Ryouta who falls off the building onto some trees in the cliff below. When he returns he finds Himiko's phone and judging from her cosplay wallpaper, he realizes that she may be the same "Himiko" whom he knew in the game and goes to save her, leaving Kiyoshi behind. At another abandoned building, Souichi and Masashi help themselves to the food they took from Himiko who begs them to kill her while leaving her "pure" however Masashi declines, preferring to torture her instead. At this time Ryouta uses his radar to signal Himiko and find her. He introduces himself as the player "Sakamoto" and asks if she was the same "Himiko" who played Btooom! with him to which Himiko says she was not. Soon, they are attacked by Souichi but Ryōta is able to kill him with a single cracker-BIM. Masashi then holds Himiko hostage saying that he and Ryouta should fight barehanded however Ryouta rushes for Masashi's knife and is beaten to the ground. Himiko then jumps on Masashi and activates one of the corrosive-BIMS which detonates and sends a plume of gas after them. Ryouta and Himiko try to escape by going through an opening in the ceiling but not before a severely burnt Masashi grabs Himiko's leg to drag her back down. However Ryouta activates a timer-BIM which detonates and kills Masashi. In an unknown location, a large number of Tyrannos Japan executives view Ryouta's victory over Masashi. (Source: Wikipedia)
EP 8Sakamoto y Himiko se encuentran con Shiki Murasaki mientras discuten estrategias de supervivencia en Btooom!
22 nov 2012In a flashback, "Sakamoto" meets "Himiko" in the Btooom! game, the latter of whom retreated to the game world after being cast out by her former real life friends. "Sakamoto" is able to sense "Himiko's" discomfort but chooses not to enquire about it; respecting her privacy. In the mainland, Tyrannos Japan's CEO discussess the game's progress noting the psychological warfare between the participants. As night falls, Ryouta and Himiko take refuge in yet another abandoned building. Before they fall asleep Himiko asks Ryouta why he saved her. Ryouta explains that ever since he retreated to the game world of Btooom! his digital life seemed more real to him than reality as was his relationship with "Himiko" therefore when he thought she was the "Himiko" he knew, he rushed to save her. Himiko doesn't respond, instead breaks down into tears because she didn't expect to meet "Sakamoto" (Ryouta) in the real world, and is torn between revealing to Ryouta that she is in fact the "Himiko" he knew because of her previous traumatic experiences. Later on she wakes up in the middle of the night and sees a humanoid figure over her. Ryouta investigates and discovers a seemingly crazed woman living nearby who attacks him but he is able to knock her out. When both he and Himiko return, the woman enters a crazed frenzy upon seeing Ryouta, but Himiko is able to calm her down. The woman reveals herself to be Shiki Murasaki, a survior from a previous iteration of the Btooom! death game. Shiki further reveals to Himiko that as a woman, she shouldn't put her trust into men on the island after she was betrayed and lost an arm to a previous player, Masahito Date so he could get enough chips to get off the island. She also explains that when Himiko and Ryouta obtain 6 chips (one person needs 8 to get off the island), their loyalty will be tested. Later on Ryouta decides that they will get enough chips for one person so that all four of them including Kiyoshi and Shiki can hijack a helicopter and get off the island. Even though Himiko trusts Ryouta she is still reluctant to tell him that they may betray each other and who she really is. In the end, it is revealed that Masahito was sent back to the island and treated an unconscious Kiyoshi's wounds. (Source: Wikipedia)
EP 9Ryouta y Himiko enfrentan el engaño de Masahito mientras luchan contra Nobutaka e Hidemi por recursos.
29 nov 2012Ryouta and Himiko return to where Kiyoshi is only to discover that his wounds have been treated by Masahito. Masahito is then able to trick them into gaining their trust since he intends to betray them and take their chips later on. New food supplies arrive on the island and a swarm of other players including Ryouta, Himiko and Masahito rush for one. However Ryouta engages in a fight with another player after the food, Nobutaka Oda. However the climax of the battle leads them both to dive off a cliff into the ocean. At the same time Himiko is attacked by another female player, Hidemi Kinoshita who seems to be working with Nobutaka. While they are fighting, Masahito throws a remote-controlled-BIM their way intending to kill them both, however it fails and when he meets with Himiko he pretends that he intended to save her. Himiko realizes the truth but does not voice it, wary that Masahito could attack her; and admitting to herself that the only person on the island she can trust is Ryouta. Ryouta resurfaces near a beach but is cautious of any traps Nobutaka may have set, and witnesses another player fall for Nobutaka's booby trap. While his back is turned, Ryouta reveals himself and threatens Nobutaka with a cracker-BIM telling him to drop all his equipment. Nobutaka obeys which causes Ryouta to get suspicious and as he approaches the equipment, Nobutaka activates a hidden remote-controlled-BIM and seemingly kills Ryouta. 6 dic 2012Tyrannos Japan views Ryouta and Nobutaka as they continue their fight but Ryouta is able to anticipate Nobutaka's strategy, and chooses to retreat, leaving behind the cashe of food and BIMs. As Nobutaka leaves he realizes that he knows Ryouta, leaving Ryouta to wonder how Nobutaka knows his name. When they return to Kiyoshi, Ryouta has a flashback and it dawns on him that Nobutaka was in fact, his best friend back in high school. However their friendship met an end after Nobutaka slept with Ryouta's crush. Soon Masahito decides to betray Ryouta. Ryouta, Himiko and Masahito then head back to the abandoned building where Shiki stays, to find medicine for Kiyoshi. Masahito then finds some expired medicine and puts them in his case which he entrusts to Ryouta, who has the realization that Masashi was right about him being too trusting of people. When Ryouta signals Himiko, she comes running back and shouts at him to drop the case because Masahito placed a hidden BIM in it just as it detonates. (Source: Wikipedia)

13 dic 2012Masahito's BIM explodes, seemingly killing Ryouta, and causing Himiko to lose the will to fight, but Shiki, saves her and wounds Masahito. However Masahito had planted traps throughout the building and lures them near the traps. A flashback shows that Himiko had deduced that Masahito has placed a bomb in the case. Masahito manages to hit Shiki with a bomb, while Himiko laments that she didn't get a chance to tell Ryouta that she was the Himiko he knew. Masahito then tries to use Ryouta's cracker-BIMS to no avail just when Ryouta shows up behind Himiko. Using the cracker-BIM that didn't detonate, Ryouta chases Masahito, into another trap. Another flashback shows how Ryouta survived. As Masahito tries to activate the trap he realizes to late that Ryouta moved it next him, and it explodes and injures Masahito. In the aftermath, although both Himiko and Ryouta are after his chip, neither wants to kill him, until Shiki appears again. She tells them she will kill him, but at the last moment, she alters the path of the blade, saying she will never forgive him. Ryouta and Himiko have a conversation while Himiko has an outdoor shower, about why Shiki spared Masahito. In the epilogue, the two of them check the corpses of Ryouta's first victim, the father of Kira, and Mistuo, for their chips, but all find three of them had been removed. Ryouta realizes that the only one who could have known about them was Kiyoshi, and they go back to where he is resting. However when Ryouta begins climbing the ladder, he hears a homing-BIM approaching, and realizes that Kiyoshi had turned against them. (Source: Wikipedia)
EP 12Las alucinaciones de Kiyoshi llevan a un trágico desenlace que involucra a Ryouta y Himiko
20 dic 2012Kiyoshi starts having hallucinations and targets Ryouta with his homing-type BIM. Ryouta dodges the homing BIM only to be targeted by another, injuring his leg while he blames himself for Kiyoshi's ordeal. Supported by Himiko they are able to avoid Kiyoshi's attacks and he panics and flees. When Ryouta and Himiko go after him, Ryouta tries to apologize for his actions. Kiyoshi, feeling sorry for betraying them, commits suicide with a BIM when he becomes surrounded by the Kimodo dragons. As Ryouta mourns him, Himiko takes all the chips off of Kiyoshi and they return to their hideout. There, Himiko asks Ryouta to kill her so that he can leave the island but he refuses. Ryouta then finally recognizes Himiko as the person he knew from Btooom! and they both have an intimate exchange although Ryouta stops when he senses her fear, instead promising to date her for real when they return home. Elsewhere back on the mainland, several employees from Tyrannos Japan leave for the island when it is said there is mechanical problems on the island, while Tsuneaki Ida, one of the employees silently apologizes to Ryouta saying that it was the best he could do, perhaps a sign that Tsuneaki Ida did something to help Ryouta.
