Lynn's grandfather is in the hospital so Isabelle leaves Lynn and Sophie at home. Dorothy comes over to tell Lynn about the new freshman who could already ride horses. Sophie tells her to leave since she will be ok by herself. Lynn goes to school to watch Cathy ride while Sophie pretends to run away to make Lynn look bad. Lynn and her friends look everywhere for Sophie. In the end, Leonard finds her. At home, when asked by Isabelle why she ran away, Sophie blames Lynn for leaving her alone.
