Isabelle leaves Lynn and Sophie at home because her grandfather is hospitalized. Dorothy visits to inform Lynn about a new freshman skilled in horse riding. Sophie dismisses Dorothy, insisting she can manage alone. At school, Lynn watches Cathy ride while Sophie stages a runaway scenario to damage Lynn’s reputation. Lynn and her friends search extensively for Sophie until Leonard locates her. Upon returning home, Isabelle questions Sophie about her absence. Sophie falsely accuses Lynn of abandoning her. Isabelle initially expresses anger toward Lynn but ultimately forgives her for the misunderstanding.
