Nabiki, upon learning Kuno's infatuation with both Akane and Ranma's female form, uses this opportunity to earn some cash. She secretly takes photos of Ranma in his girl form and Akane and sells them to Kuno. Despite Ranma's efforts, Kuno is too dumb-witted to put two-and-two together and realize that Ranma and the "pigtailed girl" are the same person. As Kuno's intention to two-time both Akane and the "pigtailed girl" reaches the ears of the student body of Furinkan High, the male students who previously used to battle Akane in order to win her permission to date them, abandon their pursuits. During a visit to Dr. Tofu's clinic after Akane inflicted an injury on Ranma in her anger, Ranma learns that Dr. Tofu already has a crush on Akane's older sister Kasumi, something which has been troubling Akane for a long time. Shortly thereafter, Ranma has a sprain in his leg and is unable to walk. Akane offers to give him a piggyback ride and Ranma refuses, thinking that it is too embarrassing for a guy to be given a piggyback by a girl. Hearing this, Akane turns Ranma into a girl and carries his home, making Ranma realize that despite Akane's violent tendencies, she is a pure-hearted person, making him fall for her more.
