Nabiki sells photos of Ranma in female form and Akane to Kuno, who fails to recognize they are the same person. His intention to date both girls causes Furinkan High students to abandon their romantic pursuits of Akane. After Akane injures Ranma, they visit Dr. Tofu, where Ranma learns Tofu loves Kasumi, a fact troubling Akane. Later, Ranma sprains his leg and refuses a piggyback ride from Akane due to embarrassment. Akane transforms him into a girl to carry him home, leading Ranma to appreciate her pure heart despite her violence and deepen his affection for her.
