Esta película es la primera parte de una compilación de dos partes de la serie animada Mawaru Penguindrum, con nuevas adiciones. Tras un colapso en un acuario, la hermana terminalmente enferma de Shoma y Kanba, Himari, es revivida gracias al sombrero de pingüino que deseaba.
