Nike takes the "Rite of Illumination," but upon entering the cave to retrieve the ring, she faces the Ministry of Priesthood members. They attempt to assassinate her, but she escapes after meeting Livius in the cave, who followed after her. During the engagement ceremony, both Livius and Nike do not have their rings.
