Nike undergoes the Rite of Illumination and enters a cave to retrieve a ring, where she encounters members of the Ministry of Priesthood who attempt to assassinate her. She escapes with the help of Livius, who followed her into the cave. Later, during the engagement ceremony, neither Livius nor Nike possesses their rings. Consequently, Nika utilizes her song to create a ring around the sun to resolve the situation.
