20 feb 2019Tasked by the wealthy merchant from the previous episode to deliver herbicide to a village, Naofumi and his party arrive to discover the town has been overrun by a monstrous plant. They learn the seed stolen from the tomb in the previous episode is the one the Spear Hero used to end the famine, but the plant that sprouted has become sentient and is attacking the village and villagers. With the Spear Hero gone, they turn to Naofumi, "the Savior of the Heavenly Fowl," to help them. Naofumi defeats the monster plant and changes its seeds to be more beneficial. When the village is unable to pay him for the seeds, he takes them to the merchant and sells them to him. The merchant then gives him a job to deliver merchandise to a hot springs' village. Filo and Raphtalia wish to spend time in the hot springs, so they stay the night. Raphtalia becomes jealous when she discovers Naofumi and Filo are in an adjoining hot spring bath while she is alone in another. Learning of a special gem a local bird collects, she heads out to try and collect the gems to give to Naofumi to spark his interest in her. On the way to the nest, she encounters Filo, who is also looking for the nest because the bird's eggs are supposed to be a rare delicacy, which she hopes to give to Naofumi. On the way there, they are attacked by a silver boar. They find the bird's nest but are attacked by the boar before they can reach it and it knocks the jewels off the cliff and breaks the eggs. Frustrated at losing to the boar, they kill and sell it to the villagers. With the money, they buy a unique tool for Naofumi to use in his gem work. (Source: Wikipedia)

27 feb 2019When Naofumi and his party learn about a village that is afflicted by a mysterious disease, they venture over to learn more. After he treats the villagers, Naofumi learns that the disease began after Sword Hero Ren killed a dragon nearby and left the body to rot instead of properly disposing of it; since then monsters had gathered around its corpse. Certain it is the cause of the disease, Naofumi and party set out to the corpse, but discover it has turned into a zombie dragon. During their fight, the dragon swallows Filo, seemingly killing her, triggering Naofumi's despair and rage; this activates his cursed shield which repels the dragon's attacks with passive flames at the cost of Naofumi losing his composure. When Naofumi recovers, he realizes Raphtalia was burned trying to bring him to his senses. To their surprise Filo bursts out of the dragon's belly, taking with her the crystal that was keeping it alive. Filo finds another crystal and gives it to Naofumi, but his level isn't high enough to use the shield it unlocks. Back at the village, Naofumi learns Raphtalia's wounds from the cursed shield can only be cured with high grade Holy Water and regrets having put his companions in trouble, determined to make himself and his party stronger. 6 mar 2019Naofumi leads his party to the capital for holy water to heal Raphtalia, and come across a blue haired girl named Melty with some Filorials who quickly befriends Filo. Later, Filo brings Melty to Naofumi who asks to accompany them to the capital. Once there, Filo and Melty go on their own trip while Naofumi and Raphtalia go the the Capital Church. In the church, the clergy visibly discriminate Naofumi as Shield Hero, but the Pope cordially complies with his request. Soon after, Naofumi encounters Motoyasu who learned that he has a new slave and struck but her cuteness, demands him to free her. Once Naofumi refuses, he starts attacking him with no care for their surroundings, with Malty permitting it, until Melty arrives and orders them to stop, and Filo, revealing herself as both Naofumi's new companion and his Filolial stead, kicks Motoyasu away. At the weapon-smith's shop, Melty explains to Naofumi and the others that she is the second princess who was made heir apparent by the queen due to her sister's personality.
